The Almanach de Gotha is a directory of Europe's royalty and higher nobility, also including the major governmental, military and diplomatic corps, as well as statistical data by country. First published in 1763 I think - the particular book was published in 1869. It's 155 years old - the pages are in pretty good shape and very readable. I would think someone with an interest in genealogy would find this one interesting. The cover is of course leather and also in good shape. The book is small measuring 4 1/4" tall and 3" wide. If the pages were gold leafed it doesn't show that now. It's a unique and interesting book and has a fascinating history. Not in perfect shape but remember it's 155 years old.
